Connecting Spokane to Advanced Therapeutics
Dedicated to Compassionate Care
Our Mission: Delivering Hope and Advancing Science
Inland Northwest Research (INWR) was founded to fill a critical need: access to cutting-edge movement disorder clinical trials in the Inland Northwest. As the only dedicated research site of its kind between Seattle and Minneapolis, we act as a beacon for patients and families facing Parkinson's, Huntington's, and related neurodegenerative conditions in Spokane, Washington, and beyond. Participants come from across the Western US and Canda including Washington, Idaho, Oregon, Montana, British Columbia, Wyoming, California, and more.
Our mission is simple: conduct high-quality, impactful research that advances therapeutic options while ensuring every individual who participates feels profoundly respected, supported, and cared for.
Our Commitment to You
Participating in a research trial takes time, trust, and partnership. This is why our entire operation is built around your comfort and well-being. Our commitment focuses on three core pillars:
Exceptional Expertise: Studies are led by board-certified neurologist Dr. Jason Aldred and research director, Mike Dauer. Dr. Aldred is a board-certified neurologist who completed a two-year fellowship in movement disorders through the Human Investigators Program at OHSU. He is formally trained and certified to complete clinical research in his specialty. Our team brings decades of experience focused specifically on movement disorders, ensuring scientific rigor at every step.
Compassionate Support: We work to minimize travel and time burdens with thoughtful scheduling, logistical planning assistance, and, when needed, comfortable hotel accommodations for extended visits.
Trust and Transparency: From the first contact to study close, you’ll receive clear timelines, expectations, and communication in a private, research-only environment designed for a smooth, respectful experience.
The Core of Our Work: Specialized Focus
Our deep specialization allows for us to bring greater focus and experience to complex neurological disorders. Current studies explore new therapies for:
Parkinson’s Disease
Huntington’s Disease
Multiple System Atropy (MSA)
Essential Tremor
Dystonia
